What People Ask Before Their First Visit

Most of this comes up at the counter every week. Written down once, so you do not have to wait on hold to hear it.

What exactly is a ledger card?

A single sheet listing every club you own with us on record — length, lie, loft, swingweight, shaft and grip build-up for each one — plus the date it was last verified on the bench. You keep the original. We keep a copy in the studio's file so a return visit starts from real numbers instead of a guess.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Bench repairs — a single regrip, a lie bend, a swingweight check — are handled as walk-ins whenever a bay is open, usually with same-day turnaround. Full fitting sessions require a reserved ninety-minute block, since the launch monitor and lie board can only run one golfer at a time. Book those through the appointment page.

How much does a fitting session cost?

Session fees are listed by category on the rate card. Every session fee is credited in full against any bench work booked within sixty days, so if you leave with a build order the same visit, the measuring time effectively costs nothing.

Will I be pressured to buy new clubs?

No. Nothing is sold during the measuring portion of an appointment. We take the readings, write the card, and only after that is finished do we talk through what — if anything — is worth changing. A large share of visits end with nothing recommended at all, because the existing set still measures inside tolerance.

What triggers a re-check notice?

Rounds played, not the calendar. Every ledger card carries a running tally, and the standing intervals — forty rounds for wedges, seventy for irons, and so on — are listed on the method page. A golfer who plays year-round hits those intervals faster than one who plays occasionally, and the notice reflects that.

Do you fit clubs I bought somewhere else?

Yes, and it is a large part of the bench's daily work. We will measure an existing set, compare it to factory spec, and either confirm it is built correctly or bend, regrip and rebalance it to whatever numbers your swing actually calls for.

Can I bring my own heads or shafts to be built?

Yes. Labor is priced the same whether the components came off the wall or arrived in your own box. The rate card lists build labor separately from parts for exactly this reason.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes, and the wall stocks left-handed heads across most lines we carry. If a specific left-handed head is not in stock, we can usually special-order it in under a week.

What about junior golfers?

We fit juniors on request rather than running a standing junior program. Because kids outgrow a set fast, we typically recommend a lighter, shorter interim build with a re-check every season rather than a full custom set, and we say so plainly if that is the better route for the budget.

How long does a full bag build take once specs are set?

Stock-shaft builds off the wall are usually ready in three to five business days. Special-order heads or shafts run two to three weeks depending on the manufacturer, and we tell you the expected window before you commit to the order, not after.

Is there a warranty on bench work?

Loft and lie bends, regrips and swingweight adjustments carry a standing recheck-and-correct guarantee: if a measurement is off from what the ledger card says it should be within the first thirty days, we correct it at no charge. New-build club assembly carries the same guarantee plus whatever the shaft or head manufacturer offers on the component itself.

Do you carry a house brand?

No. The component wall stocks heads, shafts and grips from a dozen supply houses side by side, and nothing on it is exclusive to the studio. More on why on the component wall page.

How far do you draw customers from?

Mostly Spokane County and the Palouse, with a regular share of golfers driving over from Coeur d'Alene and the rest of the Panhandle. A ledger card works the same regardless of distance — the file is here, and a re-check just requires the trip back.
